Slow Train to Changsha
I had always wanted to visit my ancestral province, Hunan.

I had a few days off from work, so I thought it would be a good idea to take the train there, like the locals do.

Until I saw just how many locals I'd be riding with.

The first 5 hours were loud and busy. This woman walked down the aisle every few hours yelling at people to buy portable electric shavers.

Happy customers tested their products.

And people were constantly boarding and de-boarding the train.

Until night fell.

And the darkness consumed them all.

Wherever they stood.

There were a couple people who still managed to stay awake.

But even they proved to be no match.
